Your 10 step guide to the Aggregata website design process
Making the decision to enter the online world with a website for your business can often be daunting and full of unknown terms and procedures. This guide was developed to give first-time website owners an insight into our website design process.

Step 1: First Contact
You have received one of our promotional emails or flyers, come across our website while surfing the net, or maybe our services have been recommended by a friend or colleague.

If you are interested in taking the first step towards your new online presence, simply submit a quote request and we will make a time to contact your or come to your office if you are local to the Tulsa or surrounding areas.

Step 2: Consultation
During the consultation, we will gather as much information about your requirements as we can, and in turn you will have the opportunity to question us about anything you are not sure about. Often times we will offer additional features and possibilities to brainstorm and think about becoming a reality in your website -- one thing is for sure, if you can dream it we can probably build it.

Step 3: Quotation
Once we have all the information we need, we will be able to provide you with a written quote, usually within 48 hours. This will outline all the chargeable aspects of the website so you know exactly what you are getting for your money.

This quotation is a firm estimation of the cost of the website. In some case adding extra features, pages or functionality (which is fine, as it is common to overlook things at the first consultation) can result in an additional quote. However we are quick to realize that for some businesses or individuals building a website has many unknowns so it is not uncommon for us to include these scenarios into the original agreement.

Step 4: Contract Signing
Once both parties are happy with the final cost, we will ask you to sign our Website Development Contract which outlines the work that is to be done, the time scale and the costs involved. We will only begin to produce your website once you have indicated your approval and acceptance of this by signing off a hard copy of the proposal, and once you have supplied all the materials we need to begin website construction.

As for payment, we are quick to realize that for some businesses or individuals cash flow can be hard to predict and manage. Unlike some of our competitors we have no problem setting up easy payment plans to help ease this burden and help get you online and a website you can use to grow your business.

Step 5: Initial Design Production
Once all the paperwork is out of the way, we can get into the creation of your new website. We will supply you with a list of required materials that will need to begin designing your new website, which often includes the items below:
  • Digital copy of your logo if available.
  • Outline of desired corporate colors
  • Site map, listing of pages and linking relaionships
Aggregata will produce a static design concept (also known as a 'layout' or 'mockup') of your website and upload it for you to view and approve. This is a non-functioning but visually accurate 'image' of your site which gives you an idea of how the finished product will look.

While we hope to produce exactly what you are after the first time, we understand that there will often be changes to the look of the design before you are completely happy with it, so at his stage you can provide feedback for us to refine your design.

Step 6: Design Approval
Once you are satisfied with the design, we will begin converting the design into a functional website. Please note that drastic changes to the website static design concept after this time can incur extra charges, so be sure that you are completely happy with the design before proceeding! In most cases, we are able to find a solution that doesn't involve any additional costs, but some changes do cause major architectural changes that take significant resources to implement.

Step 7: Website Development and Testing
From this point on, it's all go!

Once we have received approval of the static design concept we can start constructing the pages of the website using the content you have supplied. To make this process quick and easy, we ask that you keep readily available all content so there is minimal delay. If you have opted to include our highly touted Content Management System most of the content is completed by you.

At the end of the construction process we will upload the testing version of the website to a private location so you can review and make any changes, and so we can set up forms and email addresses and test any additional functionality such as administration sections and e-commerce.

Step 8: Website Launch and Final Payment
When you are completely happy with all aspects of the website, we ask that you make your final payment. We will continue to work with you in educating you on any of the inner workings of your website. The most rewarding part of our job is watching your business grow and expand with an online marketing presence.

Step 9: Promotion and Search Engine Submission
Just when you think it is all over and complete, our service continues...we take great effort in getting your website promoted and submitted to all of the leading search engines. If your website is being hosted with Aggregata, this service does not end.

Step 10: Maintenance and Enhancements
To keep them current and interesting for viewers, websites should be regularly updated with new content. This helps with search engine rankings as well as keeping your clients informed about the latest news within your business as well as the services and products you offer. Obviously including our Content Management System in your website significantly reduces this need, however from time to time additional features are required. Feel free to contact us with any changes you need, in most cases the required change is so minor its probably a quick fix with minimal to no costs involved.
